Two (rare?) Beauties

At the risk of getting ridiculous. Here it is again.

For some reason the subject line wasn't changed when I sent the two previous posts. They had nothing to do with the new crested Iris posts. I think my Outlook was recently updated, and may be malfunctioning. I thought if I left them as is without explanation, some would be missing seeing these two really wonderful Irises.  Hopefully the third time is a charm.

Two plants posted by (?correct name translation?) Tower Botanical Gardens in Taiwan. The first appears to be the real Iris sichuanensis (ones in cultivation are mostly or perhaps all Iris tectorum). The second - perhaps a purple Iris japonica - really pretty. Note the purple-based foli! age. It would be fun to try and grow these, and also to hybridize them.
