Very nice! I think irises are about two months away yet here, unless I've got vartanii trying to bloom under the snow. It sends up leaves in the late fall, but continues to be hardy here.

I haven't tried histrio subsp. histrio yet. For me at least, histrio subsp. aintabensis flowers before the leaves.

An Iris histrio I grew from seed bloomed for the first time last year.
This year I repotted it and it is now blooming nicely. Photo attached.
