Mmm... bananas. Yummy. :-)
Well, I got up early again and luckily today the wind was still. I
was able to get some un-blurry pics without holding the flower stalk.
At least now you can see the opened flower. It's approximately an
inch across. Being so dainty and short-lived, I can't see this
flower having an exciting future in the nursery trade.
As for the wonderful blue, sadly the camera isn't capturing the true
color. The best pic for color accuracy is #7 from today.
The root structure on this plant are worth mentioning too. When I
transplanted it from the pot into the garden, there were many
tuberous structures amongst the rootbound roots. It reminded me of a
dahlia. Anyway, I was careful not to disturb them. Hopefully
they'll grace me with multiple bloom stalks next year.
