Glads on fire

I've always heard that Gladiolus are iffy in my Zone, but for 6+ 
years now they've been growing & blooming strong.  I looked out my 
back window today and saw a blazing patch of red off in the 
distance.  After a moment, I realized it was my Glads returning yet 
again.  First the reds bloom, then the yellows, and whites.

Iris tridentata should be blooming soon too.
