Dear Iris lovers: Many of you know a stalwart of SIGNA and former director of AIS, Jean Witt. Jean is 95 years old and in a nursing facility she had been doing well but was just diagnosed with cancer. Jean does not touch a computer (no e-mail) but deserves our thanks for all she has done for the society. Her daughter called me and told me that Jean wanted to send her drawings to me for AIS and the wiki. I had previously put up a gallery of her paintings at http://wiki.irises.org/bin/view/Hist/GalleryOfWittArt. I am sure you will agree she is an accomplished artist. She would love to have cards!
