I. sanguinea [1 Attachment]

In its second summer since dividing from a crowded seedling row, this
clump of I. sanguinea started blooming June 19. It had quite a few
flowers open the first week or two. Since then it comes out with one or
two blooms at a time. Every time I think it's on its last bloom, the
next day it has another flower open. Today, July 27, there are two
flowers open. I can't remember a Siberian iris continuing to bloom so
long. The weather has been on the wet side; it never lacked for
moisture. The clump has grown taller than previously and the scapes
leaning into the space between rows.
