Though I might add that the I. albicans sent to Belen, New Mexico have all
done well. Some sunburned and I thought they weren't going to make
it. After almost a year, they are growing well now. A piece of the
"chimera" was given special attention, and is growing well, no flowers this year
though (I'd rather it makes lots of new growth before it flowers anyway).
This one seems to take lots of heat as well as the repeated 9F lows we had this
winter. The albicans that did bloom got nailed by hail one week and a late
freeze the next, but they came through it OK.
Since I still don't have my scanner operative, I thought I'd
through in a proud old Daddy shot. Uh, well, not of me. This is
Bryce in March at 7 months (don't have anything on the computer of Dylan, 3
years). Yep, he really was standing up all by himself. Hope to have
lots of them wading through the Iris next spring.
Just a test to see if it works. Hope you'll indulge me.
Dave
