Re: blue-eyed grass and borers

I'm collecting as many varieties of Sisyriniums as I can. Would like some seeds from your white one if you can spare some. Have recently aquires S. argentina (sp?) very tall, wide leaves and yellow flower (now in bloom). Leaves as wide as some small iris and looks like an iris when not in bloom. Would like some information on its hardines if anyone has this information.

I can believe that boarer would eat blue-eyed grass but only in areas where there is massive clumps such as what I have seen in Florida were I saw patches yards in diameter. I have had boarer clean out clumps of SDB with no sign of its presence until the clump collapsed. It could possibly go straight to the roots and munch away on the roots.

I have also had problems with lawn grubs. They will eat off the roots and chew on the bottom of the rhizomes
