{Disarmed} Re: I confusa over I. confusa

Certainly not I. milesii. In fact from the picture , I see no sign of a crest. Looks more like one of the small spuria types. Hope someone comes up with an ID. It looks quite attractive and different.                                            Joan Cooper    Minnesota            Zone 4

Subject: [iris-species] I confusa over I. confusa

I sowed this as I. milesii seed from 2003 Signa lot S-267. After the second year I wondered if it was a milesii. For the longest time the brain said I. confusa

It bloomed for the first time and I missed the initial bloom. I have been working in the back getting rid of iris stalks. There seems to be a ridge in the center of the falls. Again with the eye sight it's a by guess by gosh evaluation. There is a lower branch with one flower  and the main part with 2 flowers. The leaves are 16" to 20" tall and 3/4" wide.

Any Suggestions on the verification.. Thanks in advance.
