Re: Iris missouriensis

They grow wild on the top of Mingus Mtn (7000ft) in AZ w some snow each year but certainly very dry. I tried getting a piece to move down the mtn but so for no luck. I  think it gets too much water in my garden and/or it doesn't get cold enough at 3500ft .  
 
I posted a photo a few years back on iris photo site. Someone helped me id it as iris missouriensis.
 
By the way, Jim your sock-feet photo I took at your house is a little blurry, but I'll try to send you a photo of it anyway.  I really think you should get a box of those to sale as a fund raiser. HA!
I'd like to know where in the heck you found/bought them. They are a riot.

Hey Christy, great info, maybe I'll try missouriensis again. 
It has proven very difficult to keep alive much less bloom in 
Missouri. I have probably been keeping them too moist. Oh, 
great pics, loved the striped ones.
