Diane,
It appears to be a form of Sino-siberian iris. The
giveaway for me is the form of the standards. They seem almost to be
"quilled" where they attach to the rest of the bloom. The yellow cast to the
leaves is also typical for this group in my garden.
I've attached a few images from my seedling bed of
Sino-siberians from an Idson cross. Exact colors can vary greatly (I've shown
only those closest to that of your unidentified iris) as can the fall markings.
