The  xRobusta  varieties are bigger and hardier then either of the species  versicolor or virginica, so Gerald Darby should do wel lfro you.

I have had no problems with my virginica Shrevii,  so it is likely to do well for you.

Morning all.
 
New here in 2007, this is Chuck Chapman's Cast Ashore, 1998, maiden bloom this morning.  It's about 24" tall, with morning dew still on it.
 
Chuck, in the AIS online checklist, you have this listed as "Natural hybrid: collected Bruce Peninsula, Ontario; presumed to be I. versicolor-I. virginica cross". 
 
Perhaps it's time for me to try Gerald Darby and the I virginica shrevi you have on your website.
