Morning all. I'm way behind in responding to
everyone's lovely photos, but I'm almost caught up on the horrendous weeding
job, which seemed even worse this year, after too much rain early in the season,
plus my week off in Victoria for the AIS convention.
I was sure pleased to see this one blooming the
other day, since I thought I'd lost it. It's been languishing under my
galloping Valiant grape, which had to be drastically cut back this year, to
rebuild its supporting trellis. After also being crunched by my 8 foot
wooden obelisk that the wind blew over a few weeks back, pulling the long screws
right out of the landscape ties, only 2 bloom stalks were left after
that.
