Re: Iris in Michigan


 

DKW is low growing and has heavily zig-zagged stems. Not surprising in that it's I. fulva X foliosa (a.k.a. brevicaulis).  FWIW - M. D. Faith told me that there are two different clones carrying the name DKW.

if the stems are heavily zig-zagged then i'd go with brevicaulis.
