Re: bloom 2014

Mine are growing in raised beds of pure 2NS sand, exposed out in the middle of the lawn. They are never covered. Summers are generally sunny with occasional thunderstorms and daily high temperatures around 25 to 30ÂC.

Hi Jim,

I am growing oncocyclus and regelia species in pure grit, planted along a south facing wall. They are covered against rain in the summer and winter.

Hello Lars,

Well I will have to look into getting a little more adventurous in my Iris selections I think.

Thanks to both you and Sean.

Those are beautiful, Sean. ÂWish I could grow something similar here.

And some Oncocyclus:Âiberica ssp. lycotis and paradoxa f. atrata. The latter is difficult to photograph - in shade or on cloudy days it looks as it does in the photo, but in full sun the standards appear as dark as the falls so the entire flower is satiny dark purple-black.
