I think the brevicaulis was in too deep of shade to bloom, so no I don't plan to go back. I hiked a new spot today (in the rain) to find Iris virginica again, but it's not really fair to call them wild since it's part of a wetland restoration project. Still, it's a protected natural area, so it's good to have them growing in the wild near my home.
