Hello to all members This is my first post to that group just to make a question to experts. So 6 years before I went a walk in a small mountain here with my wife and we found a whole yard with Iris unguicularis (a common native iris here in Greece) ,hundrends of plants all very very blue .BUT in the edge of the yard was a plant not blue but almost pink! I carefully pollinate some flowers , i covered with alumiium foil to prevent random pollination (I know about all these because my favorite hobby is my orchids-growing from seeds in lab conditions etc etc ) and I went back 10 days after and I took the seed pods . I sow the seeds and they are growing very well in a pot from that time (almost 6 years now) .The plant is almost a small bush but didn't produce flowers yet.Do anyone knows why ?Waht can I do to make it flower next year?I attach two photos from that time one with the nomal colour and ! the other I took ethe seeds. The photo colors are not excactly the reality. It was more pink. Thanks in advance. Tassos |
