I've read that foetidissima has been crossed with graminea, so I tried that cross both ways this season and I have at least 1 pod forming. And Augusto Bianco has been posting weird photos on Facebook (see attached) of what appear to be foetiddisima & versicolor hybrids. So I tried that cross both ways as well and I have at least 1 pod forming. Of course, just because I'm getting pods doesn't mean they actually have viable hybrid seeds in them. But it's a good start!!!On Thu, Jun 16, 2016 at 4:17 PM, Diane Whitehead v*@islandnet.com [iris-species] <i*@yahoogroups.com> wrote: > Thinking of Iris foetidissima, I may have asked before, but does it have a foul smell? |
