Re: Iris humilis from Siberia

Thanks for the information. I'll update my notes on the spelling
of the river's name. I have had some trouble growing Iris humilis
in the past. I did conclude that I underwatered some of them in
the summer, killing them; it's good to know that I don't have to
worry about overwatering during that season. I do wonder if they
are susceptible to rot if kept warm and wet during winter dormancy.
I have lost some during our winters, but this pair of plants came
through wonderfully when kept dry doing the middle of the winter.

I'm attaching a pair of pictures of buds, one on each of the
clones in this pot.
