I have Simonet's method detailed here that I could copy for you. Its faily elaborate. I have some OCR software that hasn't been installed and could scan it for you. There is  likely is a more up to date technique, but any I've seen seem to be faily similar.

Another project, that might be easier would be the Anthocyanin Vascular Intrusions in flower petals. I can send you a copy of my article on it detailing it as being the likely factor the takes us from blue and blue-violet pigmentation into the purple and black. This process would involve peeling off the top layer of cells on the flower and examining it under the microscope.

If you are at all interested let me know and I can pinpoint what needs to be looked at. Right now I have been gathering the supplies and equipment to do paper and  thin-layer chromotophagry and photo-spectromic  anysis of pigments. Just about all I need right now is the chemicals and I have a supplier lined up. Just have to figure out which ones will give me best differentiation of pigments.
