Hope you had some succes with albicans.
Yesterday I was able to peel off a top layer from a primula flower. I
sliced across the petal with an exacto knife held at an angle of about
30 degrees in a start of slicing off a section. The top layer was then
caught and it peeled nicely.

I have not been successful. I've made about 20 attempts on different ages bud to bloom. It does appear to be possible even though I've not succeeded. It will take a steady hand.

I tried using a couple of different cutting instruments plus the point of a hypodermic needle to start the separation. I am not experiencing a significant level of fluids impeding the process. I will continue the effort tonight or in the morning.

Smiles,
Bill Burleson
