a long wait


Early in 1998 I planted seeds from two different
Iris magnifica sources. The seeds came from the NARGS
seed exchange. I managed to keep one plant from each
batch alive. The first started blooming a few days ago. The
parent was listed as I.magnifica alba, but the seedling itself is
not pure white. I'm attach a photo.

I just noticed this evening that the second I. magifica seedling has
a couple buds, even though the plant is not are large as the
first.
