SO far Lee Walker has one seedling of this type of cross....we are waiting to see the flower.  I will be trying it both ways soon to see what I can get.

Hi All,

I just read Carol Wilson's 2004 paper "Phylogeny of Iris based on chloroplast matK gene and trnK intron sequence data"  from Molecular Phytogentics and Evolution Vol 33, Issue 2. (You can find the article at ScienceDirect.com.) Her results show that I. sibirica and I. pseudacorus are closely related. Has any one heard of this cross being tried? If not, someone should. I can't seem to grow I. sibirica so it's up to someone else.
