re: Neomarica frustratus

Grow a lot more of them and check them in the morning and mid-day at least. We have 18 bloom stalks now of Neomarica gracilis. We had to unpot all of the plants in the kitchen and ship them by mail across the United States to our other house in the Midwest, pickup the mail shipment, and repot them when we got there. The plants loved it! They proliferated in their pots in the basement window light all Winter, and now they're blossoming their little heads off. Soon we'll have to take them back to the Pacific Coast with us and do it all over again.

Okay Neomarica growers... how do you manage to catch them in bloom!?  My Neomarica has bloomed at least 6 times and I never catch the flowers until they're shriveled up.  So I'm renaming my plant Neomarica frustratus !!!!
