RE: SV: spring has arrived


 

Iris 'Eleanor Roosevelt' and 'Golden Cataract' starting to open flowers around Albuquerque (mostly in protected places).  Lots of little bulbous Irises flowering in the area (mostly out of site in people's yards).  Haven't seen any dwarf bearded, but I expect they are probably flowering now.  Generally things are running about a week or two late here this year, after a very cold dry winter, but not everything is on the same schedule

     I am finding some bloom scapes emerging on Iris virginica.
