When I lived in Kentucky, I had Iris Borers to infest some clumps of Blackberry Lily, now known as Iris domestica.  Also, in one especially bad season, one got into a Daylily.  However, I believe it is extremely rare fore them to attack Daylilies.

The borer can infest any iris with rhizomes big enough to support it's life cycle. I had them appear in a couple of a couple Louisiana hybrids I was not monitoring. I read somewhere borers can infest daylilies but can't recollect the source.

It is.  I had many clumps at the side of the house.  All gone now but a coupe pieces after they were done.  The clump had been there for two years before they attached and it looked worse than any TB infestation I have ever had.
