I've grown foetidissima for years. I'd read it likes dense shade, so I
planted it on the north side of the house, right next to the foundation.
I'm in zone 6, but the summers get hot here in MO. It gets no direct
sunlight and does great. I would think that the Variegated selection
would be even more prone to sunburn. I haven't heard of the yellow
seeded one, but have heard of the white seeded alba fructo. The one I
grow is var. citrinum, I plan to get some more this fall. Will Warner
