Re: tectorum

Hi Will,

It looks to me as if it is the clone that was collected by Roy Davidson several years ago.  I believe that Carla Lankow will finally register it this year so that it can be properly introduced.

If you can trace it back to where it came from and it turn out to be Roy Davidson it is most likely this clone.  I have it growing in my yard and it not only looks great but grows very well also (much better that the three other tantorum's that I have.)

Subject: [iris-species] tectorum

I took this pic at our local iris show yesterday.  Someone was showing it
as i. tectorum, but it definately stood out from the others.  The markings
on the falls are much more developed and prominant.  It got the blue
ribbon.  My question is; is this a selection of tectorum or just natural
variation?  I hope to get a start of this one.
