I. pseudocorus

Sue in NH,

I. pseudacorus does great here for me so i would think that it would
for you too. that is, unless you are at a significatily higher
elevation than I am (i am about 50 feet above sea level - at the most.)

Or, maybe our long days make up for the short growing season. today
we have about 18.5 hours of daylight (plus at least an hour on each
end for dawn and dusk.) We will have about 20 hours from sunrise to
sunset around the summer solstice - with it never really getting dark
the other four hours.

i have a varigated form that is VERY slow to spread, and double
flowering one that is spreading and a "regular" one that is very fast
at spreading it self (vegetatively)

i grow it in a regualr perennial border without any special care.
when the leaves are close to 5 feet tall and standing up firmly -
people do ask about it - especially when it flowers. i love its
strong texture (and no-fuss nature) in the garden.
