Hello all,
I never tried Iris cristata before. My new cristata plants form upright stolons 1-1.5 inches long. How should I treat them? Cover by soil up to leaves? Or replant them horizontally?

That is a strange situation. My best advice is to wait until autumn. If they are still upright, then probably best to add more soil (or mulch) up to the leaves.
