I don't think of anything special. I grow it in mostly shade (though oaks
leaf out late) with woodland wild flowers. It seems pretty sad in spring but
recovers. It gets a natural cover of oak leaves for the winter and probably
need only a partial uncover in the spring. Can't say it multiplies very
fast. Also we have had pretty mild winters lately. Haven't been to the
Arboretum lately so can't report on that but last I saw it it was in quite a
bit of shade and almost like a ground cover. Can't think of anything to add.
