Wonderful irises!  But the question of the day is ... what on earth 
were you doing at your pond without your waders?!  :-)  I have to use 
makeshift waders (i.e. plastic bags) to go in my pond because a few 
days ago I discovered that my ankles are VERY allergic to the 
American lotus growing (rampantly) in there.  This year the lotus is 
really trying to invade the iris section of the pond.  :-)

I really love your virginica alba.  What's the story behind it?  Did 
you grow it from seed?  Buy it?  Find it in the wild?
