Hi Jim, It is some really beautiful clematis you are growing and a impressing L . monadelphum or is it a svovitsianum? I am also very sure you can grow juno iris – just give them a good drainage (remember me about it later this year). Here is another of my Spring beauties. You are a lucky man, Lars, to have the climate to grow such things. I do, however,have a few plants such as the small flowered Clematis in the atragene group that I can play with and come up with the likes of these two seedlings. I also hope to do some hybridizing with the spuria group of irises again this summer although I have to say that I don't find these seeds the easiest to germinate.
