Actually PCN refers to the native species
                PCH refers to Hybrids of these natives
                PCI can refer to either
                & I. californica is the species group
 
The acronyms are used many times in the wrong contest but most of can figure it out.  But to set the record strait above is correct.

  PCN - Pacific Coast Native
  PCI - Pacific Coast Iris
  Californica

These can refer to either species or hybrids of the species.
