It's really a pretty heavy cream color. You wouldn't mistake it for white in person.

The species name had me wondering why your flower is white instead of yellow. There isnât much on the www except for a mention of Dietes flavida âSmokeyâ. Typical Dietes flavida has green leaves and pale yellow flowers. â Smokeyâ has blue-green leaves and white flowers. I wonder if you have the variety âSmokeyâ or at least a seedling of it?
