RE: I. tectorum

I am trying.  I have three seeds from some TB pollen.  Only one pod had seeds, others tried did not.  The seeds look quite normal so they might be from stray tectorum pollen.  I was hoping the tectorum is tetraploid after oryzalin treating seeds.  We'll see.

Absolutely love tectorum...probably my favorite iris. Is anyone hybridizing them? I know Tom Silvers is doing interspecies crosses with them, but a pink sure would be fine to have...

Hi All,

I had to share this lovely photo of I. tectorum from SIGNA seed lot 07CR040, grown by Alla Chernoguz in the Ukraine.

Enjoy!
