Re: trimezia species

Hi Dennis,

What you have, I believe, is a 'Neomarica brachypus'  a native of Trinidad it flowers off and on throughout the year, leaves are ensiform about 2.5 cm. wide and 45 cm. long the stem is usually slightly longer and about 2 cm wide and produces a single sessile cluster of flowers, 12 to 14 cm long.  flowers are yellow with segments transversely banded with brown on the lower third.  Styles crests are pale yellow and lancelolate.

This is a guess from the photo...which is a very nice photo.

Looks like you enjoyed your trip.

Will

Dr. Kramb, my name is Wilson and I live in the south of Brasil. I took a picutre of a trimezia (In the Iguaçu Falls) but I don't find the name of this specie. Coul you help me please if possible to recognize it?
