My Best guess and it only a guess as in the photo you show the flower is not completely open.  You also did not supply any height or dimensions of the flower.
 
My guess is 'Carthalinea' (Fomin'1909) not the species but one that was distributed as a species in the early 1900's.  It was listed as a cultivar in the 1939 checklist.  I believe Mathew treats it as a subspecies.

Hello,
This is one of the species  irises I have grown from seed from the British Iris Society a number of years ago and of course by now I have lost the labels and wondered if anyone would kindly identify this iris for me.  I am fairly certain it is a spuria iris, but beyond that I am only guessing.
I will be posting a few others as well for identification and any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Also, can anyone suggest a good book on spuria irises?
