Hi Jim and Jamie, You will find several spuria species seed in BIS’s coming
seedlist. As you might now, do we also have one protected spuria in Denmark
– spuria v. Danica. I have got my plants from The Botanical Garden in
Copenhagen. It can be found only a few kilometres’ from Copenhagen –
a few places on the islands Amager and Saltholm. Med venlig hilsen / Kind regards Lars Høpfner Langengen 38, Svogerslev 4000 Roskilde Denmark Fra:

Hello
Jamie, Thank
you very much for your most informative reply. I will try the cross you
suggested this coming season. Are
you doing any hybridizing work with this group of irises? I am hoping to
get started with this group as I think this part of Canada (Saskatchewan which
is in the middle of the prairies and has relatively dry warm summers) would be
good for growing spurias although I suppose I would have to select for cold
hardiness. Jim
