Hi all,

OK, effective today groups.io has raised the fee to transfer a yahoo group, to $220.



Groups.io is deluged with yahoo groups asking to transfer, they just added new servers and stuff yesterday.

I think it's still wo! rth it, at $220, to have them transfer/copy the iris-species group.

IF iris-species is going to do this, I think should do this like now!
yahoo groups is getting flakier, which is observable even within this past week.

I for one would be willing to fund some of the cost of moving iris-species to groups.io, and it wouldn't take many of the 200-odd group members kicking in a bit to come up with the full cost. It would be a shame to lose 17 years of group archives.
