Thanks for the encouragement.
This iris is relatively short -- I haven't measured but probably 
around a foot tall maybe a little more. The flower is more like a MTB
in size. And I'd say, that is the aphylla showing in the unusual 
branching. It has a very low branch forking at the base of the fan 
just like several of the aphyllas I've grown. 
I was worried about bloomout too; but when I dug around the base I 
found two offsets. They're small but I think they'll be enough to 
keep this one going for at least another season. I don't know about 
spring bloom but I wouldn't be surprised to see this one bloom again 
next fall.
