The weather is and has been erratic and unpredictable for the entire 22 years we have lived here. It is never boring. right now, we had some heavy rains at night, badly needed, but several  unseasonable  warm days. Yesterday I discovered 5 scapes on a large Iris versicolor seedling, 5 flowers open and many buds. never happened before. I have a white versi that once in a while will send up a scape in late September, but nothing like that. Should take a picture, but imagine the rain has destroyed the flowers.

As for the CalSibe, I may loose the nerve to touch it, because it is too late in the season for us, but then, weather wise, we never know.
