We can get away with that kind of stuff in CA. Not too much humidity. We
hit ours with a similar foliar in Feb. (triple 16) I would be very wary
using a 20 -0-0. A quick note: this year we add a little basic copper to
the foliar spray in an attempt to subdue any leaf spot. It worked OK, with
little leaf spot appearing after the heavy amounts of rain we received in
Feb and early March. We got the idea from walnuts. And from apples we
learned about calcium, boron and a mineral I can't pronounce or even try to
spell. We are going to test out an area with foliar applications of these
essential minerals. I will post the results latter. It's nice to be able
to find nutrients that take the place of fungicides and pesticides. BTW
bugs stay away from plants that have been sprayed with a foliar nutrition
containing LB urea.
