OT-PLANT: Buddleia Colvillei

Hi all,
I know it's not the best place to ask, but I have searched garden list
archives I can access, and can't find this one anywhere (search engines
included). I have been growing an interesting buddleia for some time. I
bought it as a 'common' pink B.davidii, and it struggled for a few years,
before blooming with the most gorgeous clusters of large pink flowers. Today
I took a piece to Dicksonia Rare Plants nursery, for identification, knowing
the owner of this nursery would be likely to help me. He identified it as
Buddleia Colvillei, but was most curious to see that it is a fully double
flower, as, to his knowledge, there is only the single form, and one colour
of this species.
Does anyone know this plant, or have an in depth book on buddleias, and
could tell me if there is a known double flowering form of this plant?
I will take a photo if there are any healthy flowers left on the bush
tomorrow. This is a truly beautiful flower, and may possibly be a sport. It
has flowered without any variation in flower form, 3 years in a row.
Any input gratefully appreciated,
Cheers, Jan Clark,
Australia
