Last night San Joaquin iris society met for dinner and talk at local
eartery, 12 people (equal amount men and women) were crammed into tiny
area!! Made for great sharing of iris and everything else that is
important to garden people who have become friends over the years. We
had two new people (old to iris, but new to most there), gosh did they
give us a shot in the arm of much needed "whole blood", even voluntered
to help with our local iris display later this month. The consensus of
the group is that all their gardens seem to be or getting to peak bloom
very fast this year. Our own show garden is covered with bloom, the open
field is at about 10 percent bloom. Two members, Sandy Mann and Mary
Maxwell are headed to Dallas (the rest of us are hoping for great
reports), will you all on "chat line" please search them out and give
them a great big "chat line" type group hug!! Lorraine in Modesto
