Once upon a time, many of us felt that a convention wardrobe needed at
least one item with an iris motif. T-shirt, sweatshirt, windbreaker or
fancy gown. Painted, embroidered or silk print. Didn't really matter as
long as it involved something that could be immediately recognized as an
iris!
Yes, I still have one of the dresses I made for the Tulsa convention --
tucked in the back of the closet as I really can't imagine wearing a
floor-length gown again. I reluctantly discarded the other after catching
its hem in the car door one time too many. Guess that just proves I'm more
at home in the garden than at the ball....
