Hello everyone.My name is Laurie. a mother to 2 and grandmother to one.We live in Iowa where our TB Irises are about 6-8 inches tall now.I have a story about how i recieved some of the most beautiful TB Irises i have ever saw. One day i was looking in our Daily shopper and there was an ad FREE IRIS`S that caught my eye. I called about them ,figuring someone had probally gotten them already. Well they hadn`t so my daughter and i jumped in the car and drove into town. This little elderly man came out with 2 large dog food bags just full of roots. He told me i was the only one to call about them to take them all. I ask him if he was sure i really didn`t want to be greedy,He said yes take them all. So we did. We took them home and planted them as we were doing so a gentleman friend had stop and ask where we had gotten the TB Irises and i told him, he preced to tell me this gentle man had bred corn for alocal company for years and he bred his own TB Irises.The first year they !
bloomed they were the hugest most beautiful TB Irises i had ever saw in every color imaginable. This gentleman has since passed away but his Irises bloom every year large and beautiful.And every year i give thanks to him for his gift to us.Thank you Laurie
