Iris #5 has been identified!

Thanks to Patrick Orr who identified my mystery iris as
CINNAMON SUN. Since I've never received CS in an order,
and the part of the bed narrows it to a particular vendor,
I'm a bit confused. I've also got some things from Keppel
nearby, who had the iris listed in one of the years I
received orders from him, but...

Anyway! I'm sure that this happens sometimes, even to the
most careful of suppliers, because heck, it happens to me!
I have all my iris receipts and have one accepted one
clump from someone else -- and it's nowhere near this part
of my yard. And still, the labels walk off, when I
dig and divide some pieces either remain where they
were or get moved along with a neighbour :-)

What IS the ideal spacing for an iris? 1' centre to
centre? More? I am finding that cramming them in
as babies has led to situations where they are
intergrown and while stalks of different iris are
pretty next to each other, they are going to be
impossible to separate and will have to be moved
and identified as clumps!!!
