Hello friends, what a weekend in the garden, lots of happy people
looking, sniffing, touching and all adoring Lucy (dog). Had the
opportunity to encourage young and old in their love of all things
"garden". Of course I always talk up iris (all we sell) pointing out
all the virtues that I can think of, even showed several how to move
pollen, record keeping,etc: We had overcast weather, just right for
picture taking, some sprinkles, windy but nice!! Also worked on getting
new members for AIS and our local club. We did get away to view
seedlings made by Ron delaMotte (in Turlock), oh what a sight to see,
rows of beautiful new not released blooms, all colors, even new color
combinations, Ron is a stickler for large bud counts and is a
perfectionest. We feel he going to be a "new" name in the field of
pollen movers!! So much to say and to some it is just "rambling".
