With all of our friends off to Dallas, my e-mail box is woefully empty!
However, I do get to see all our medians blooming AND do the sniff test.
Winning today's Fragrant Prize is:
STARLIGHT WALTZ, SDB by HELSLEY 82, PALE LEMON ruffled, lovely little thing
, early bloomer -smells like Lemon Peel (not just lemon!) Just delightful
to both me and Tom! I will take a dozen to work tomorrow because fragrance
seems to be very subjective and personal. I will take a vote.
Other notes:
MISTER ROBERTS, SDB, WILLOTT 79, Medium Gold fading to yellow,
early bloomer-smells like sawdust or the smell of early September furnace
turned on (ya know what I mean?)
I just ran a list of this week's bloomers and try to do a good SNIFF job
but soon it will be too big a job and one nose won't work. There is no
such thing as a Fragrance Chart as opposed to a color chart!
I do note overwhelming fragrance in Iris - DUSKY CHALLENGER can make you
sweet sick in a 25 mile trip to a show and (I do love the color) NO BIKINI
ATOLL never comes in the house because it smells like the litterbox!
Although we wait for Kathy's reports from Dallas (ain't she good!), there
are other things a'bloomin" and the Northeast folks may not be missing
them, some of the rest are so let's do bloom reports so they don't miss
what we see! They will read the archives!
